I think a "black-list" would be a great idea for MP, honestly. I went on one outing with a fellow MP-er, and he was great. Safe, fun to talk to, good climber (Dave Schultz)

But, we all aren't going to get this lucky, and I think it is only right to report the duds as they are uncovered to protect everyone who uses this site to find partners and climb more. Letting an unsafe climber or belayer go unchecked would be dangerous...God knows the Gunks already has a healthy supply of unsafe morons...

You can tell a person is a kook when they refer to free soloing as free climbing. It's just not something you get wrong if you've been climbing for any length of time. Plus, he's a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.

Both the OP and Erik suck at life, but in different ways. Erik may be a kook, but at least he doesn't come off as a puss.

Seems to me Erik was confronted and apologized, admitting he was wrong. There must be more to the story for things to have continued this far.
