. The Provo River, renowned for fly fishing, starts high in the Uinta
mountains and flows through the canyon after passing though two reservoirs.
Provo Canyon contains world-renowned ice climbing and a smattering of developed rock climbing routes on limestone.
Also running through the canyon is US Highway 189 connecting the Provo-Orem area with the Heber
From I-15 exit eastbound on the Orem 800 North exit. Follow 800 N until it ends and curves left into US 189 at the mouth of Provo Canyon.
