| In case anybody hasn't heard, there's a fire burning up along the Poudre (and has been for a couple days). It seems to be spreading pretty quick...was 400 acres as of 5pm yesterday, and is now close to 1000 acres as of 30 minutes ago. "Gusty winds" today might not help, but props to the 200+ workers out there trying to contain it. Here's hoping they can contain it before it affects any more homes, trails, or climbs in the area. The fire is currently covering most of the Greyrock trails, and a good portion of the area surrounding the mountain itself: www.inciweb.org/incident/2863/ As if that isn't enough, some retards decide to climb up to get a better view, get stuck, and require rescue: www.weather.com/weather/videos/news-41/top-stories-169/fire->>> | FLAG |

| They were right off the road from what the video looks like. Yeah, and not rock climbers per se, just some guys climbing on the rocks. Sure glad they didn't call them hikers! | FLAG |

| Looks like Greyrock is about to be toasted, judging from the Inciweb map and pics on 9news. It will be a miracle if the fire doesn't reach the rocks. www.9news.com/news/article/268221/339/Crews-still-battling-H>>> Scroll through the pics to see Greyrock. The newer pics show the fire is advancing towards Greyrock. Oh and +1 on not calling these dumbf***s climbers. These idiots have given hikers a bad rep, not to mention climbers. | FLAG |

| They haven't updated the area map, but the most recent update puts the affected area at more than 5000 acres with closer to 400 workers helping to contain it. | FLAG |

| Man the Poudre is going to look like the South Platte. I was planning to get out to greyrock this year too. Hopefully everyone comes out of it safely. | FLAG |

| As of this morning the fire is officially 100% contained. Total burn area was 7685 acres, and the cost to date has been $3.2 million. Greyrock and Hewlett Gulch trails are all still closed due to "snags and tree hazards", but hopefully they'll be reopened soon! | FLAG |
