Beautiful woodlands covered in granite boulders and granite and gneiss cliff bands. Lots of hiking trails cover the hills of lyme and it's a great place to explore, in my opinion one of the more scenic areas of Connecticut. Pleasant Hill Preserve is off Macintosh Rd,
Which is off Mt. archer Rd, which is off the 156 in lyme. The rock is bulletproof granite.

Getting There

A high quality V1 problem lies at the far end of the old green trail (now yellow blazed) in pleasant hill preserve. Here's a trail map... lymelandtrust.org/docs/ridgeto...

Climb this on a perfect fall day with the sun lighting up the rock and the mt laurel casting shadows on the rock. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in CT
