DescriptionA great area that contains a stunning amount of rock in a large glaciated valley. Beautiful backdrop while climbing on quality, juggy granite. Some rock quality is impeccable, but there is a fair share of loose holds/rocks. Routes range between 500' to 2000' tall. A large area encompassing some beautiful climbs and copious amounts of alpine rock if you do not mind a bit of an approach. Getting ThereDrive north out of Bayfield to Vallecito Lake on CR 501. At the north end of the lake, veer right on CR 501 as it contiunues around the backside of the lake. This turns into FR 602-take this until you are at the Pine River Trailhead. INTRODUCTIONThis is a long climb up nice corners on a fairly well-defined buttress. The cracks run out near the top and two aid bolts were drilled at the crux. This section might go free.
