DescriptionThis is the east pillar of the twin pillars of Hope and Despair. The East face is about 40' high and features two very nice, pumpy 5.10's: Rise and Devour and Dismembered. The south-facing arete starts on lower ground, allowing for the lengthier Brewser (5.9). There are a couple more climbs on the west face, in the corridor between the pillars. Located on the south face of the pillar, start in a small corridor on good holds to the first bolt. Although not technically difficult for the grade, Brewser requires some thinking as the sequence is critical and not obvious. Higher up, the climb is more slab than edges.
