Photo's in Sequence

So the new photo arrangement seems to shuffle photos, and there is no longer an option to arrange them. There were many places on MP with cool photos in a sequence. Not any more....so no more sequenced photos?

Details are on this thread: mountainproject.com/v/new-s…

Summary of the current system: The first photo can be set (optionally) and the rest are sorted by star rating, with a preference for Topo Photos.

While there were some instances of photos being sorted in an cool sequence, that was extremely rare. It was very common to have a lot of crappy photos making it hard to find the gems. As more photo ratings come in, the new system should produce a better result for the vast majority of routes and areas.

Oh and I just want to say:
The photo's of the moment are now much better thanks to the new changes. So many incredible photo's are on the front page now. Thank you.

Move to first is not working! or has it been disabled?

Luc, it should be working, but the photo has to have at least a 4 or 5 star rating. If it doesn't have a rating, you can rate it yourself before moving it to first.

I will add a warning to avoid this confusion in the future.

If you're still having trouble, send me the URL of the page that contains the photo, and the the URL of the actual photo that you want to be first.

I've been having the same problem as Luc:
For the WA State home page, I want to make the map image first, but it doesn't budge.

WA:

Map image:

Now, before today, the image had no ratings. So I gave it 5 stars and tried to make it first. Perhaps we need to wait a day or two after giving the image 4 or 5 stars?

Fixed - there was a bug that prevented this from working in ~10% of the cases. Thanks for the reports!

Anna had a sequence of photos posted here
mountainproject.com/v/cinna…

that were once useful approach beta. Not nearly as useful, anymore.

She might be able to move them into the body of the area description, or at least links to them.

By the way, I think she would make a great MP admin.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
