Back in '85 I was climbing in Tuolumne with John Rosholt (the "Gambler"-I never called him that-but I never played cards with him; that would be foolish), he really wanted to go down to the Valley and do Stoner's Highway. So, we made the drive downhill, had pizza and 3.2 beer at Degnan's, and headed over to the Middle in 104 degree heat. He led the crux pitch in typical Rosholt style, as I was following the traverse, I was ready to (sell Buicks, technicolor yawn, romance the porcelain, YAK).He was kinda pissed that I wanted to go down. |

| I believe heat affects your decision making in far worst way then cold. I heard a story of an MS patient unable to speak but when he was put in a tub of ice he was actually able to speak. Something about neurotransmitters. Im not sure how it worked. Hence saying : hot head. |

| My boyfriend wrote an essay and we got the money. It had nothing to do with how hard we climb. Its a non profit org that supports clean and sober lifestyle called Phoenix Multisport. Based in Boulder but now we have chapters in Denver and Springs. Great cause! |
