Peru Beta, Partners, etc

I am working on a project in Piura, Peru throughout the summer and I'm hoping to spend the month of August exploring the climbing throughout the country. I will spend a couple of weeks in August in the Cordillera Blanca and I hope to connect with some partners for a go at the Sphinx. Does anyone know about climbing near Piura or have beta on some must hit destinations rock? Furthermore, it would be awesome to connect with some climbers in Huaraz so if you'll be down in the Andes this summer and want to get after it let me know.

toposperu.com is a good place to get started. In Huaraz, if you go to Los Olivos someday you´ll easily meet other climbers and locals and it´s pretty easy to connect with them. Same goes for Hatun Machay.

I´ll be in Huaraz mid june through possibly mid August and plan to get on the Sphynx as well but still waiting on confirmation from my partner, if not I´d be up for it.

Thanks for the Beta I appreciate knowing where the climbers hang in Huaraz as that will likely be my jumping off point. Toposperu.com seems like quite a valuable resource for the rest of the country as well. If we end up crossing paths in Peru I will have to buy you a beer.
