Although this routes approach is veering off the beaten Kootenai cragging track, it is a super worth while spot. The best approach is from Identity Wall you keep traversing left and up, eventually finding large rock mass in view(this is the start of Shuffle Buttress). Peppermint Hippo is located on the farthest right alcove/overhang of Shuffle Butt.
This route is awesome! All it needs is some more climbing on it and itll be clean as a whistle. We cleaned the overhang pretty well but the top out portion needs more traffic. I believe 4 bolts in total with 2 bolt anchors. Also requires a couple finger size pieces(.3,.4,.5) and maybe a #1 up top. Route length is approx 65'. Its a BLAST! DO IT!
Other routes are in near proximity to Peppermint, just head left from route and traverse slab wall and you will come to an awe inspiring headwall, 300+ feet in some areas. There are some old aid lines as well as sport lines...also quite a bit of potential new trad lines.
