I first saw Edlinger at the Snowbird comp in '88.
Actually have the whole CBS video of it. He was as if he lived on the rock and only "visited" the flatlands of Earth.
Sad and I too have read of some not so healthy influences, even if true everyone has their demons some hidden some in plain sight.
Do not let these lessen your thoughts and opinions of one of the great modern age climbers.
