Description Suggest change

This is an awesome ice climb that can be easily seen above the Heather Meadows Lodge at the Mount Baker Ski Area.

There are potential lines on Pan Dome. The easiest line, which makes the route a WI 4 is as follows:

Start at the center and climb up to the ramp. Follow the ramp up to the right to the righthand side of the final curtain. Climb that (crux) to the top.

If you climb straight up from the base, depending on conditions the top can be 4+ish. The curtain to the right of the easiest start can be anywhere from 4+ to 5.

Location Suggest change

This is the most beautiful climb in the Pan Dome Area near Mt. Baker Ski Area's Chair 2.

Please approach from the Backcountry Access Trail, above Chair 2. Do not hike around to toprope and do not access the climb when the ski area is closed. Both of these things could lead to a ticket from the ski patrol.

Protection Suggest change

If the ice is good, it will take screws. If it's not, go home.

If you do lead the route and then toprope, you will need two ropes.
