Description

This route lies about ten feet to the right of "Learn Quick or Die". Begin in a wide shallow grove that narrows toward a somewhat vague ledge. Continue straight up using what small cracks are available for protection. At one point, you can step left about ten feet and slightly below the second bolt on "Learn Quick..." and use the crack on that route to place pro. About three slings will be necessary to traverse back to your route and avoid rope drag. Continue up until you come to an obvious horizontal crack that allows you to traverse right and up to the off-width crack that leads to the summit. The OW crack is quite obvious from the ground. This route should improve with climbing. It's a bit grainy now. OOBC has many challenges; toprope it if you have any doubts.

Protection

Standard rack with plenty of the smaller stoppers.

This route was TR's in 1998 by the ever present Todd Swain and named Thinning the Herd (10a). Nice to see someone led it...figures it would be Woody....the apparent master of old and yet bold.
