Please note that the Madrone wall is still closed entirely for rock climbing, as it has been since 1997. Nevertheless it'd be great to put some information up here for Portland's most beloved crag.

Would it be ok with the community to put directions to Madrone on the site? Part of me feels that it's good information to have out there, but I don't want to do anything to encourage people to go out there while it's closed.

If climbers go out there will it cause more access issues? It has been closed for over ten years and it seems all we ever hear is that 'soon it will open.' If it will hurt access than dont go, but if there is only a risk of a fine than may be the chance is worth it. there are some great routes out there.
