Orange Sunshine area Rock Climbing
The Orange Sunshine area is the first part of the cliff you reach from the trail. There are a number of fine cracks and sport routes. The tan, mostly lichen free rock lends a warm, friendly ambience to the area. In mild years, the wall offers good winter climbing.
Hike to the cliff.

The rest of the climb involves classic arete liebacking. The moves are easier than what's below, but stay technical and pumpy to the end.The first 5.12 in the Tieto...[more] Browse More Classics in WA

beware encountered a rattlesnake on Saturday that seems to live under the columns at the start of Jam Exam. It's hidden under the columns except when it comes out for sun/hunting. Be cautious when entering that area, starting climbs, and lowering down.
The snake did not have a fully-developed rattle so it may strike without warning.
