All temporary climbing closures protecting nesting peregrine falcons were lifted by August 15, 2015. Now that the breeding season is over, we thank the climbing community for helping the peregrines to have another successful season. Next year, temporary climbing closures will be in effect again from March 1 to July 15.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.
Splitter hand crack up a tall boulder. Aesthetically pleasing.
Park at the CA-120 paved pullout at Olmsted Point. Hike west over the small granite rise and then head south down open slabs, contouring back east under the Olmsted Point cliff face. The boulder will be obvious after just a few minutes of walking.
