Northwest Passage Rock Climbing
A nice place about 15 minutes off the road that has some fun shady climbs. Longer climbs make this worth the somewhat hellacious approach.
Rumor has it that Northwest Passage has been rebolted as of 2014. Whip away!
Mile 4.8 past the weigh station. First pullout on the Arm side past Beluga Point. Look for a small trail that heads up into the woods on the other side of the road. Walk up the mostly scree field at this point until you reach an obvious cliff wall with bolts on it. Could use some major work in the trail building department.
Climbing Season For the Seward Highway area.
Weather station 6.9 miles from here

Featured Route For Northwest Passage

Some long-ish, steep routes to be had here, along with a collection of some of the worst fixed gear (bolts) on the Highway. I'd avoid leading in this area until some replacement takes place.
