I am heading there soon and looking for some good sport climbing routes. Please let me know if you have any info or can recommend a good guide book.

There are a some bolted routes near town. I did one a couple years ago that required a supplimental cam.

There is a new guide to the area, released in the last year. It's by Tom Slater, and I think it's just called Rock Climbing San Luis Obispo. I have the old version, haven't seen the new one.

If you're going to be there for any period of time, pick up a copy of Slater's guidebook that came out last year.

If you're just passing through, the highest concentration of good sport routes are at the Cracked Wall. Wild Western Pinnacles has 3-4 good routes, just mind the poison oak. P-Wall has a really great 10b sport route called Epidural. The Summit Blocks - East (Main) have some new route development. Shadow Rock has some good bolted routes, but none of which I'd call "sport", except maybe Shadow (except that the first bolt is 25-30' off the deck).

Unfortunately, the neighboring Cerro Romauldo has been recently closed to the public. There are some really fun sport routes there.
