So I've heard that royal arches can be wet in the spring. Just how wet will it be? I read a trip report from 2 weeks ago that indicated the climb was dry except for the pendulum traverse.

Can I expect this climb to be soaked on the 20th due to snowmelt?

Unless you get a very wet few days immediately before your intended date, you'll be fine. As you say, the pendulum is likely to be wet, as will the short ledge walk after the pendulum, but neither of these will be show-stopper conditions.

I've done it early Spring, had no problems. Also, if you feel uncomfortable at any point, you can always bail.
