| If it is the Loon Lake north of HY50 (north end of the Crystal Basin), yes, there is a fair amount of roped stuff around there. Mostly in the easy to moderate range on three separate formations: two formations on the road into the lake and one at the east end of Loon. I used to publish a guide to the Xstal Basin in the 80s and 90s. There hasn't been much activity up there (except for Wrights Lake)since then, though a person that goes by salamanizer on rockclimbing.com has been in touch with me about our old work there. Apparently he and his buds are replacing old bolts and such, probably doing some new routes too. I still have the proof for the guidebook. If you want a copy, send me an address and I'll mail you one. ...............bob branscomb | FLAG |
