Normally I would never send out a news letter but this is of the utmost importance.

How do you envision Tuolumne in the future? Do you want more camping? less? /a better store? no store? / cars? no cars? / more shuttles? / do you want to be able to climb?

These are all subjects that will be addressed in the plan and the final plan will be formulated by your comments. SO PLEASE COMMENT.

If you care about the future of Tuolumne Meadows please comment on the The Tuolumne River Plan (TRP) which is now being formulated by NPS. This plan will guide how we can use Tuolumne in the future and is what will guide the Tuolumne Meadows Plan (TMP) .

The TRP will provide broad management guidance and establish the overall goals and vision for the river corridor. This will be finalized this winter.

The TMP will focus on the types and levels of visitor services and activities offered in the vicinity of Tuolumne Meadows . It will also delineate which areas may be targeted for restoration. This plan will be guided by the uses set forth in the TRP. This will open for comments in 2008.

You can submit comments until 9/7/07 for the TRP. Please visit the NPS website where you can review the plan and submit comments at:
