This summer I'll be working for the NPS in Yosemite Valley, and would like an apartment or seasonal living arrangement to minimize my commute. Does anyone know of any openings in apartments or places that are reasonably priced (think student income) that are available starting late May till mid-August?

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated, camping for 10 weeks is not going to cut it :P

Also, seeing that I'll be there for the summer, is anyone else working there that time? I'd love a regular partner. I climb around 5.8 in the Valley, want to be able to get up 5.10s by the end of summer, and have done some baby-aid climbing. Washington Column and maybe an El Cap route... Anyone around my level want to team up weekends and after work?

Outward Bound operates a basecamp out of Midpines. You might be able to work out a housing/work exchange arrangement. You might also try contacting Yosemite Institute. Many of their staff live in El Portal and might be able to help out.
