Hey, we're taking a trip from Hot-lanta this weekend and planning to spend a couple days at Mt. Saint Helena with a group of folks and Reggie, the dog. The official rules say no dogs on trails in californina SPs. Is this for real? Monitored? Thanks for the heads up.

Yes it is for real. There are no dogs signs at the trailheads.
The park ranger does frequent laps on weekends, and many users are not dog-friendly. Its also pretty hot in the summer with no water available near most climbing areas, so the environment isn't too dog friendly either!

Most Ca. state parks are pretty strict with what is posted (regulations and restrictions). And is often the case, a citation IS ISSUED sans the requisite warning so often called for at other parks, so you might want to consider an alternate plan.
