Alas, you probably won't find this problem in the same conditions that I did. Even as I climbed, it was still shedding rotten rock between the starting hold and the solid rock at head-height.Starting on excellent underclings find something solid and make your way right to a large sloping sidepull (lots of good toe-hooks to help).
