| I just moved up to the Bay, looking to get out and explore Tahoe, Yosemite, and any other good Bay are crags. I lead 5.10b sport and 5.8+ trad.I have a rope,rack, and car. I'd love to get out and do some long climbs. |

I'm looking for a partner to get out this weekend. Interested?
I've been leading pretty solid 5.9 crack from fingers to OW & chimney and I'm looking to lead a lot more 5.10a crack (I've led a few Valley 5.10s very solidly so far). I have a number of ideas of some good days of shorter climbs in the 5.9-5.10b range and a sunny 5-pitch multipitch climb in the 5.9 range.
I have all the gear necessary to lead anything.
I'm in Berkeley but could meet up at at the Dublin BART.

| Hey,
I just moved to San Francisco from Colorado a month ago. I am really itching to get out and climb on some real rock. I've done a few trad 5.10s in Eldorado Canyon and some other parts of Colorado and am generally pretty solid on 5.9 face, crack, slab, or OW. I sport climb in the 5.11 range, but prefer to trad climb if I am going to make a long drive.
I have a full rack including many big pieces. I should be good to go almost any weekend. |

I'm in Sacramento this weekend (Mar 10-11), I could get outside to a local crag either Saturday or Sunday. I don't know the area. I've lead sport to easy 5.10. I just started trad last year, I've lead "Gunks 5.5" and followed a bit tougher... My experience is mostly on random Appalachian rock, it'd be sweet to try out some Sierra granite. I'll only gym gear with me, but could throw a few trad pieces in my luggage if needed.

Just moved to the Peninsula about a month ago from Colorado as well and looking for some moderate trad partners. I comfortably lead long 5.8 alpine routes and follow 5.10a-ish, have a car, rope and a light rack.
Looking to explore what California has to offer. I can get out most weekends. |

I'm in Zion, kinda working my way back to Oregon. I've climbed at the Phantom Spires this time last year (even earlier), but it was a really weak snow season.
I could easily be convinced to spend a week or longer in the valley. |

You considered last year to be a weak snow season?
It's been raining all week in Tahoe at lake level (and I presume Yosemite) and snowing up high. Cold front comes in this weekend and will be dumping a lot of snow. It should snow in the Valley this weekend as well. Looks like possible precip next weekend as well. I'd look elsewhere for the coming week unless you brought your skis.
This year's snowpack is puny, so when it warms up and the sun comes out, things will dry up quick. |

I guess Ball's one of them Daniel Boone type climbers. Last season sucked balls - whatever weak kind of pun that was intended. This season has been awesome till very recently.
Sugarloaf is always an option. Phantom Spires has probably been open almost every day of the season, but precipitation will quash that for a bit.
You were driving that Astro Van and got up to Sugarloaf this time last year, Ball? I went up round this time last year and got shut down with deep snow before I even get got to the turnoff road. Or did you hike in? |

| I recall climbing Phantom Spires and Sugar Loaf. For the spires I could drive to the top of the road, then hike down. There was hardly any snow. It was a short window and it rained a teeny bit.
Then it dumped 10ft of pow in one day.
At any rate, it sounds like I should stick to the east side |

| Hello, my name is Alex. I moved to San Jose last week to work for Cisco for 6 months. I am also looking for someone to climb with. I am comfortable leading 5.9 sport. I have a rack and a rope for trad but I still need to learn how to make solid placements so I am not comfortable leading yet.
I am looking for someone to climb with in the 5.7-5.10 sport area or easy 5.6-5.9 trad. |
