A portion of the Near Trapps has been closed to climbing. This includes land below the cliff to above cliff line and starts approximately at Eenie Meenie and continues south about 200 feet. Climbers are asked to respect the no-trespassing signs and advised to use the access trail marked in orange blazes. This trail starts at the intersection of the Blue trail over the top of the Nears and the first Red trail. Description
On the front face of the White Pillar and 10 feet right of a tree filled chimney, diagonal up and right to a small left-facing corner in the roof that is about 25 feet from the ground. Over the roof at this corner (crux) then go to the top of the White Pillar. The crux is brief, small TCUs offer perfect protection, and this may be the easiest 5.10 in the 'Gunks.
Location
Walk until you see the White Pillar; it's the large block leaning against the cliff. On the face immediately to the right, there is a slab with a bolt about 20-25 feet up.
