awesome photo I cant help but think this was taken in zoar valley south of buffalo NY zoar is a not so well Known ice climbing destination (probably because of the shale underneath the run offs) and most locals try to keep it that way. Unfortunately I think your pillar has allready been climbed and comes in big and fat every season. Its wise to assume that all of these hoses have been climbed by other parties.We were climbing ice in zoar 16 years ago

I live in Buffalo and got drawn into ice climbing last winter on a triop to the 'dacks. I have all the gear to climb using a top rope set up. If anyone has any info on ice around the area I would love to hear it and especially any info about ice in zoar.
