Allison high up on Sunbaked on December day where ...

Description

Pass 3 bolts with a long reach to a pocket by bolt 2 and the thin crux at bolt 3(?) to reach a big ledge. A few options to pass the crux section exist: traversing left may be a little easier but the bolt is closer to you if you go straight past it. After the ledge, continue up bolt-protected steep face climbing, none as difficult as below.

Would be more classic except for the big ledge you can take a nap on in the middle of the climb.

Location

Route 13 in the beta photo. The rightmost bolted route on Winter Wall. In this area, the columnar joints angle diagonally downward to the right, unlike most of the rest of the wall, so you can pick it out from that feature.
The excellent original online guide photo may help.

Protection

7 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor.

This route was established by some combination of Mark Thomas, Tom Wezwick, Karl Kiser, and Chris Kessler, all of whom worked together on several routes at Diablo and in particular on the Winter Wall.
