I've climbed all but the Marathon Route and therefore cannot verify the rating. I illustrated it based on Dr. Ingraham's description. When I submitted the photo to him several years ago, he verified the Marathon line. The Lost Carabiner route was excellent!
East side of the Organ Mountains as viewed from Highway 70 near the WSMR main post. Routes 5 and 6 were climbed in the 1960s and are described in Dr. Ingraham's guide book. Dr. Ingraham also mentions the E Face route in his book. He told me "it’s the one that Paul and I attempted twice but were unable to finish." The upper section and variations of the E Face and routes to the left were climbed more recently.
