Description 

North facing, you get shade in the morning with sun in the afternoon, the "New Side" is the area with the longest climbs at mentmore. Around twenty climbs here ranging from 5.9 to 5.11c. See attached map photo for locating the climbs.


Getting There 

Short approach (as with all climbs at Mentmore). Park in the parking lot, walk through the gate to the west, and head straight to the obvious crags!

Start on the route left of (01) Flakes Don't Fail Me Now, and right of the arete with the route, (04) On the Edge. Climb the lower angled white colored rock (though not easy!), to the more vertical rock above. Here is where you will "Sink, or Swim".
