A worth while moderate trad route to practice your skills on... there is a sport route oneither side so you can clip a couple of bolts on your way up to the corner... Stem, fingerlock and hand jam up the corner and pull over the final block to the top...
It works better to not pull over the block and just clip the anchors of Puppy Love (5.9) to the left...
Location
This is the cracked corner that is one of the most obvious features on the left section of the Kennel area as you come up the trail its right in front of you...
Protection
Bring a regular rack... Pretty much a hand crack... there is a bolt and a pin low down...
Clip the anchors of one of the sport routes that is very close by or continue to the tree at the top and belay from there...
I did this climb and saw the pin. I recognized the pin as being mine. It is a nice climb. It was climbed between 83-85. We moved right at the end for a white quartz exposed finish.
Brad, you may have climbed this before me, but I put that pin in. It was from another route that got retroed (most likely one of your pins). I don't normally use pins, but thought it was befitting the route.
I'm happy to hear that you climbed it earlier though. Do you remember a name for it?
