The cool, starting hold for this classic "boulder"...

Description

The somewhat blank face in the middle of the cliff.... Start at the too perfect, crescent-shaped, start hold.... Find your choice of slippery feet and make a big move to a crimp and a few more delicate moves to better holds.... Once you can stand on the start hold, you are pretty much done...but it is pretty high, and there is a ton of glass here so care is needed topping out on to the ledge....

Scramble off to the left and down a groove....

Location

Middle of the cliff....

Protection

Crash pad to at the very least protect you from the glass....

The day I did this I showed up with roped climbing gear. I found a ratty old peice of carpet amongst the glass and used that as a crash pad. That made the commitment level a bit higher, maybe that is why I was happy to walk off without making the big drop!
