Description

Roughly a dozen climbable boulders of varying sizes are scattered throughout the Lower Fire Road area, although the trouble is finding them. The rock quality ranges from the terrible Fraggle Rock to the great CBD boulder, and chances are you'll have it all to yourself. CBD (Can't Back Down) sits atop a wash in the sun while others are more shaded. The largest boulder in the area may yield some difficult climbs if it ever sees traffic, and one of the smallest boulders is straight out of Blair Woods. If you only get here once, climb CBD.

Getting There

Hopefully you don't get lost. When walking down the fire road from the horse farm, at the bottom of the hill you'll cross a stream, see a small boulder on the right, go up a small hill and finally drop down towards the marsh that borders the Round Pond boulders. Well, you'll see a rock wall on the right and a large low boulder. Fraggle Rock is up the hill directly behind it. From there, head left and away from the trail into a wash. You'll see CBD at the top of the wash. From there, if you walk towards Round Pond you'll run into the largest boulder in the set, and walking downhill will drop you back on the fire road. Yippee!
