Description

Sit start, move right and up on bad crimps, then deadpoint up to bad crimps with body tension, left hip in and stick the flake without barn-dooring. Top out left on slopers and wierd pinches. On the FA Dave Graham uses his knee to aid him in the wet rock mantle.
Check it out in the movie Uncommon Ground

Location

On the overhanging side of the Swirley boulder.

Protection

Pads and spotters req'd.

As of 3/25/08, the start of this problem is covered in thick soot from an illegal campfire. It needs some serious cleaning and the condition of the holds is unknown.

Was there on Sunday (5 January 2009), and soot is still obvious. The fire appears to have damaged the rock around the starting hold in the crack, even causing some small plates to break off. The actual holds seem solid still, but I don't know if the new breakage might change the start or even the grade. The bulk of the line is unaffected.
