I bought the book as well and think its pretty awesome. My fear was that it would detract from the adventurous nature that is Zion, but after giving it a full read think its right on the money balancing information with the PDW feel that Zion elicits. I would compare it in scope and quality to Robbie Williams Black Canyon Book, which I also like for its lack of extensive pitch by pitch beta. Good stories, photos, and topos. I like that they were able to make the book compact by eliminating extensive route descriptions for descriptive topos. Only complaint is that photo quality is less than ideal when zooming on the PDF digital version. Havnt been to Zion in a while, but ill be back there soon now.
