My dad and I want to go to the New in early September, but are wondering if the weather will be nice enough to warrant the 12 hour drive from Wisconsin. If not, where will be better? We want to go somewhere in the South as the drives aren't too heinous and it's far enough to be a bit of an adventure (the last before 4 years of Caltech hell...haha).

Be careful...went there last Sept, early, and it was in the 90's with oppressive humidity. You have equal chances of it being good and horrible. Blake Cash

Hot as balls but still climbable. Head to NC if the heat is unbearable and climb in the highlands. Ryan Williams
