Hi - I am coming south to RR in the middle of March and have a couple of questions. What kind of temperature highs and lows will I experience? (I will be camping), will there be precip to deal with?, how about wind?

For rest days is there a good mountain bike route you can recommend? How about a day at the beach (or is that just silly?) or other things to do?

Thanks.

Enjoying the little things in life.

I would have never thought it would be so exciting to see our sunflowers sprouting up. It seems like just yesterday we planted the seeds.

(Taken June 30th 2008)

Should be great on non-windy days. At night, in a sleeping bag with no wind, you should be fine. In the sun during the day; it'll be warm; 60's- low 70's?? If the wind blows, it can get really cold that time of year, day, and night. The wind chill can be brutal, especially on long, exposed multi-pitch routes. Hope you get lucky with non-windy days during your stay.

Anyway, here's some links for stuff that may interest you, and others on rest days; all within an hour or less drive from where you'll be.

CHINA RANCH DATE FARM
TECOPA HOT SPRINGS
ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM
GILCREASE ORCHARD
VALLY OF FIRE
HOOVER DAM
THE SPRINGS PRESERVE
LAKE MEAD
MT CHARLESTON
SOUTHERN NEVADA MOUNTAIN BIKING INFO

I'd come up with some more but have to run off to work. I'm sure others will chime in. : )
