Description

This small bouldering area is one of the few areas right next to Reno, Nevada and hosts +15 boulders with over 50 problems ranging from V-easy to V6 with tons of problems which are at least V9. So far only me and a few other people have been to this area or even seen it. The rock here is comparable to the woodford's granite/ a donner summit mix. There are currently no trail leading to the boulders, which i will be working on this summer.

Getting There

This small bouldering area is located in a small ravine on the hills between Caughlin Ranch Community and Arrow Creek community. From the intersection between South McCarran Blvd. and Lakeside Drive, follow Lakeside Drive past windy hill until you reach a street Called Lone Tree Lane. Lone Tree Lane is right before the road turns into Holcomb Ranch Lane and is right before the huge bends in the road. Follow Lone Tree Lane and take a left on Bellhaven Road. From Bellhaven Road, take a left on Schellbourne Street. Follow Schellbourne Street for a few hundred feet till it turns into a dirt road. There are currently for sale signs right at the entrance and the road should be open. Follow this road for a few miles until it takes a sharp turn left and drops into a small ravine. This ravine area is a popular shooting area and you can easily see shells littering the ground. From this spot the road splits into 2 possible roads. The first one on the far right ascends a steep hill (do not take) and the second one goes to the left/straight. Imediantly after this split there is a right turn which leads up and around a hill. Take this road and follow it up a steep hill until you surpass the summit. Then stay on this road and cruise for about a mile, until it makes a suden drop into a steep ravine where the mini boulder's parking lot is. Park either on top of the drop or on the bottom near the river bead.
