| I have to be in Vegas in early August and am wondering how unpleasantly hot it may be climbing in RR during this time. I've climbed here a bunch--mostly April, May, and October---and thought it would be nice to get a route or two in while "enjoying" my wife's family reunion. I'll be there mid week and looking for a partner too. I'd be looking for something short and north facing, like Prince of Darkness or something similar on Black Velvet, but I am open to suggestions (I'd prefer trad, but haven't yet done PoD). I'd be looking to get started at first light and off before the temps got too high I should also mention it doesn't get much above 80 in the summer where I live (northern New Mexico), so 90 and 100 in the sun feels rather oppressive to me. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks. | FLAG |
