Description 

The Pearl is a big block of sandstone with several V4 ish climbs on it. You walk right by the slightly overhanging east face on the main east-west trail. The Pearl V4 is the classic climb on the rock. It gets pretty hot in the summer as the sun hits it full force but cools off after the sun goes west. Not to be missed if you spend a day at the Kraft Boulders.


Getting There 

From the Cube (the first huge boulder you will walk by if you walk straight north from the road and parking) walk along the main trail heading generally east. It's past the Potato Chip boulder, another classic. Look for the chalked overhanging face as seen in the pic.

The Pearl is a classic line on The Pearl boulder. The face is slightly overhanging, and the start holds barely there. The regular start is standing up. It's really only a move or two depending on how you do it until you are home free. Descent is on the opposite side of the boulder. ...[more]
