I'm planning a trip to Red Rocks the week of March 22-30, and I'm trying to figure out whether the area will be more crowded than usual due to the Rendezvous at the end of the week. For anyone who's been in the area just before past RR Rendezvous, are the climbing areas crowded? What about camping?

Vanessa, expect a cluster-f@#k at the campground, and in Red Rock a couple of days before, during, and a few days after the RRR.

FYI: You can escape the crowds by doing the more obscure routes. The Vegas locals can give you info. on good obscure routes/areas if you PM them.

You can expect the Red Rock Canyon Campground to be at capacity if not over capacity from the second week of March all the way through mid April.

Your best bet to get a campsite is to arrive mid week (Tues - Thurs). If you arrive late on a Friday or Saturday night the campground will be full.
