| Had an epic on this route yesterday, June 16th, and had to leave one stuck rope on the rappel route from the second pitch belay ledge. This resulted in having to create an anchor by slinging a chickenhead midway down the first pitch to make that rappel with the one remaining 60m rope. This rope then got stuck below us in the crack and necessitated rappelling down to the snag, creating another sling anchor, and cutting the rope to make it down. All in all there is 1 x 60m rope, 2 x 48'' slings, 2 x 36'' slings, 2 x non-locking biners, and 2 x locking biners. They're for the taking if you can recover them. The rope is in decent shape and will have only been there since the 16th so it shouldn't be too weathered and sun-beaten if you want to keep using it. Otherwise, please recycle or reuse in some other way. Same with the slings. We made it out safe after dark, which is most important to me, and for having lost all that gear at least I didn't have a ticket from the BLM waiting for me:) | FLAG |
