| Just reading this now, it's 11:40 pm, night before. Guess I've been left hanging which sucks, given what I had to do to get the day freed up for climbing. Oh well, been meaning to hike out to bayards and millbrook just to look around. | FLAG |

| Roger, again bro, i cannot tell you how sorry i am. That is one thing i hate about the military is that it is unpredictable. I had even made sure to ask my SGT in charge if today was a sure thing and he said yes, then it all changed. At least i start out processing when i get back from this trip and will be off active duty by end of september. I've been left hanging to bro and it does suck. I have never been that type of person but i just had no control over the situation. Hope one day i can make it up to you. | FLAG |

| its funny i actually started along the trail on top of the nears around 8am and after about 20 min got a call from my wife: our baby sitter backed out and my wife had to go work that afternoon and our daughter woke up with a cold- so i just turned around and drove back to the city to be with the little one. Wife- "but what about your climbing plans?" Me- "um, that's not as important to me as helping you and being with our daughter when she doesn't feel well"... major points in the bank. guess things happen for a reason. but i will say that a heads up from ross woulda been nice. we had been going back and forth via email quite a bit getting a plan together and if i hadn't checked this forum last night i would have been at the poughkeepsie train station waiting for him like we agreed. he had my email and cell number, should have reached out when his plans changed. again, everything for a reason, who knows i may have gone climbing and suffered a skeeter bite or something equally drastic. anyway i'll be up there next weekend attacking as many nears 7's and 8's as we can, this time with partner. if anyone wants to join in feel free to message me and we'll meet up. i'm always game to meet new potential partners. EDIT: Ross did email me, apologized and all, the morning before. plenty time to refigure things. just saw the email now. | FLAG |

| Thanks for the Edit brother. I emailed you as soon as i found via droid. I didnt even think to shoot you a txt through the number you gave me in the e-mail. That would have gotten to you quicker and for that i do apologize. I to am a strong believer in everything happens for a reason and also taking care of the family. My wife also says the same to me whenevewr i change climbing plans for her. Always important to remember family is most important. I will be back up this way eventually and hope i can make it up to you then. Ill come pick you up and we can go. | FLAG |
