need new harness.

Looking for a new harness as my current gym harness is getting a bit worn. Right now, I use a black diamond momentum harness for a gym harness and a petzl corax for outdoor (both ice and rock)

So I have a couple options I'm trying to decide between 2 options

Option 1
For a gym harness I'm looking for something quick and simple if I'm just doing a couple laps at the gym on the way home from work, however durable enough to last while climbing 3-4 times a week. Thinking either about another momentum or maybe a petzl samma. Open to other suggestions though.

Or

Option 2
Make the Corax my gym harness and get an arcteryx 395 for both rock and Ice.

I wear a momentum at the gym. Cheap, durable, comfortable enough. Doesn't have bells and whistles, which is fine for the gym. If you like it for the gym, I don't see any reason to change. If you really really want the dead bird, the momentum isn't bank busting to have as a gym harness and then have the corax around just as an old "beater" for things like thrashing up chimneys, canyoneering, loaning, or other rough on harness activities.

My $.02

I wear my arcteryx as my outdoor harness and a Sama as my gym harness. Love the single-buckle sama for indoor and love comfort of the arcteryx outdoors.

I second Misty Mountain, they are bomber. Instead of buying 2 harnesses you can use a Misty for both gym and outdoors and it will still outlast the others.

If you happen to be size small I have a like new Petzl Sama for sale that doesn't quite fit me.

Normally between medium and small. Would have to try out in the store. Out of town for the next week but if it's still for sale after that I may check it out.

I'll look into misty mountain too.

Which misty mountain harness would u recommend for a mix of rock and ice climbing. Do the horizontal gear loops make it a pain to use with a backpack?

If you're planning to wear a pack I think the new Spectre harness would work well. They put a new style of gear loops on it: mistymountain.com/recreatio…

BD Momentum You have not worn out a harness!

If you have money to waste. . .
Waste money
Option two,
But also

You can only wear one harness at a time neither of the two harnesses needs to be replaced.
If you see wear at the tie in point add a second doubled or tripled loop of cord or tape.(webbing)
Make it shorter than the belay loop. (smaller loop to take the load) tie in to that loop.
Be sure to capture the legg loops in the added Loop.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
