Need ice partner for late Feb trip to Ouray

This is a long shot, but I am hoping to fly into Ouray for ~4 days of ice and need to find a partner. I'm having trouble getting anyone here in OR to commit to a trip. So my current idea is fly out solo.

I'm looking at just getting as much top rope mileage as possible. I've mostly climbed alpine ice and I'm not leading yet. My goal is simply getting more experience.

The best dates for me would be around Feb 18-22 or the following weekend 2/25-29.

Let me know if you're interested and will be around. I also can belay up to WI12 and M46.

If I get no takers -- should I just fly in solo and try to find a partner once I'm there?

Thanks!

It's usually not hard to find partners at the parking lot or in the park.

Hey I am at the same level as you and am always looking for people to climb with. I live in Denver and am always looking to climb in Ouray. I can plan a trip any time just let me know 904-465-1144 on matt_jacksonville@yahoo.com. Also another good way to plan a trip, look into the website 'Gocitey".

Hey pd - I might be in Ouray around that last weekend in Feb, so if you do decide to go then let me know (pm me). I've been going there last couple of yrs and do some leading. I'm happy to belay though. I might be meeting 1-2 others if I go, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you tagged along.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm still trying to rope another friend into it and we're looking at Feb 17-21. I'll be in touch if that date gets locked down or doesn't.

I have plans in Boulder on the 19th but don't fly out until the 23rd in the morning. Im looking for partners in between and could drive out to ouray potentially for three days. I lead WI3, M3 but also need more top rope mileage.

If anybody else is interested in climbing during that period let me know. Especially in RMNP.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
