Description

The Necromancer Needle is a subsummit located below the The Witch proper. It seems mostly ignored as the majority of the routes are marked as R/X in the guidebook. That said,Silver Threads is a fine route waiting for those who have already polished off the more popular classics.

Getting There

The best approach is to walk down the Witch/Sorcerer gully past the ledge for Pit and The Pendulum/Witch Doctor.

Pull over the bulge and into the flared & insecure finger crack above. Trust the shallow toe jams and work your way to the top. This feels like a harder version of Dave's Deviation 5.9 at Tahquitz Rock....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
