The NASCAR boulder features a quality overhung sloping traverse with plenty of finishes. The problems increase in difficulty (quickly) the further you traverse.

There are also plenty of other problems on nearby boulders that should be included in this 'area'.

Getting There

From the pond, head west following the cairned trail past the Scoop, Triple Mullet BJ, and King for a Day boulders. Afer KFAD, the trail continue uphill for about 200' then turns left, drops back over the gentle ridge, passes a few boulders that are undocumented in Beverly's guide and hits NASCAR after another ~600'.

The landing under the finish to Mario Andretti used to be pretty bad if you happened to swing out at the wrong time since you could no hold the swing. I know, it ripped my knee apart, broke my fibula and tore a calf muscle. It's not even that high.

Now, thanks to the efforts of various others, MatthewNM and Augie for sure. The landing is much improved. THANKS

Though I still had to find a different way to do the finish. I just could not get myself to engage on those moves knowing what the result of trying and failing had been.
