A grey fox skull wedged in a crack 100' up on a FA I was working on - don't see that every day...

Don't have many pics to choose from on this computer - try this one. The blurriness of the photo adds at least a letter grade to the identifying difficulty.

Edit: If you think you're right - carry on. I'm gone for a while.

Not either of those. Didn't think it would be this hard.

Another hint - same name as a groundbreaking route at Smith nabbed by a frenchman.

This thread has been overwhelmingly Colorado-centric. Here's somewhere different:

Name the route. Bonus points if you know what pitch this "ledge" is at the top of.

This painting was taken from engravings made during the 1859 Macomb Expedition, which attempted to locate the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers in the present-day Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. Anyone who has spent time in Indian Creek will recognize the features here.

If you're interested, the survey's official report, as well as more landscape paintings like this one, are available in full on google books.

books.google.com/books?id=674QAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&d>>>

Don't know the route in the foreground, but I'm pretty sure that's Exasperater in the distant right section of the pic.

Correct area/wall, but wrong on the route. The route at lower right is not Exasperater. Anyway, back to the route that the climber (me) is on.

Camhead- the route seen in the background that looks like the slanting crack of Exasperator is the upper corner on Rutabaga.
