This is how I saw people climbing at Mineral Wells state park, just west of Ft. Worth.

shoulda put duct tape around the hangar to protect the sling. Then, use any extra to tape down the towel!!

Wow! Gear must be hard to come by in Fort Worth. Must be more of a beach town.

looks good, other than the noobs had extra towel and didn't bother to run it up closer to the bolt as that rock looks real sharp. Thats eff'n bomber!

That looks like his mom's good linens, what an absolute shame.

Question to the OP - was there only one bolt present? Seems strange to only install a single bolt for a TR anchor.

Ya, rope doesn't match either... Epic fail.

Im guessing this is on top of a boulder, maybe 30ft? seems like a pretty common thing for routes that you don't want to boulder but are too short to bolt as a sport line. looks like a perfectly good anchor for that situation if that is actually what is going on.

and to the OP, this is a pretty lack luster troll of a post, next time maybe wait at least a month between opening an account and posting things like this.

it that towel from the martha stewart collection at k mart?
i sure hope not. i feel the whole insider trading scheme really tarnished her image in my mind. she really left a lot of people hanging.

any other thoughts on business ethics?

or even on color coordination of your edge pro....i don't have my color wheel handy, but i feel like those colors aren't exactly complimentary

The basic problem is the colour of the rock, it isn´t limestone so worthless anyway.

the guy who took the picture admitted he was climbing in texas

It's quite obvious what is wrong - the carabiner is loaded over an edge. It would be much better if they toproped ("sideroped"?) directly through the webbing, eliminating the carabiner altogether!

There is a spooge stain on the towel. As we all know, spooge, like battery acid, can degrade dynema and cause mico-fractures in aluminum.

Looks good from here.

Climb on...

oh yeah...

YER GONNA DIE!!!

edit: Southpaw, did you tell them your concerns or just let them get on with it?

There is a DIEneema sling in the anchor. I can't tell you exactly how yer gunna die but there will almost certainly be shock loading involved.

In my opinion I would have put a biner on the bolt hanger as well and not just hitched through it and the biner on the opposite end is clipped to another biner? I dont like the idea of having a sling loaded over the edge of a bolt hanger for extended periods of time.
