Description

This amazing area is home to the world class Taipan Wall as well as lesser known walls including the Central Buttress, the Grey and Green Walls, the Lower Taipan Wall, and various bouldering areas.

Getting There

Park at the Mt. Zero picnic area and hike the obvious trail across the Flat Rock and into the Amphitheater. This trail also leads to the summit of Mount Stapylton, but the hike for most of the climbing ranges from 15-45 minutes depending on the area.

This is the Taipan Wall's centerpiece route, and each year hard-men from around the world flock to this cliff to attempt this mega-classic. Undoubtedly the best route in the Grampians, and clearly the best 'hard' route in the country. Featuring a bit of everything, from technical stemming, to roof-thuggery, endurance crimping, and arete slapping. I...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
